Is your iPhone 4S draining the battery quickly?
I heard about the issue before purchasing the new iPhone, which I received 8 Nov.
My iPhone is fine; unless I have reminders set. The battery will then drop faster, too fast.
I opened Settings, clicked Location Services, and turned off Reminders; things returned to normal.
Is this the issue? Too early to tell. Just a theory.
[Apple has apparently discovered the culprit, and is preparing has a fix….]

Hmmm, chat’s offline?, yeah right...
Big claims, Right?
WRONG.
fastra1n / fastunlockiphone.com is fraudulent.
You will *not* jailbreak or unlock your iPhone. You will lose $24.99.
Karma doesn’t register with these people. Screw ‘em protect yourself.
The only way to ‘contact’ anyone: eMail. (fake captcha and all).
It’s best to treat any potential purchases from a business as if you’ve been scammed; attempt to contact the company; no / unanswered / invalid phone number?
Search the business online, in the case of new products, wait for a credible source before committing.
At least order by credit, you can usually be reimbursed by the card companies in the event of a scam such as this.
Search Avoiding Online Fraud.
Been scammed by an online ‘business’?
-Copy and/or screen-shoot any and all information, and file with the Better Business Bureau (USA); and the Internet Service Provider (eMail issuer) for the support [if any], or contact listings.

Avatron Air Display driver issue under Mac OSX: Lion.
As mentioned at the bottom of the Avatron site
The Air Display host software runs well on Lion, but has this limitation: the built-in video driver on certain 2008 and 2009 Macs is incompatible with third-party video drivers. You can still install the Air Display host software, but until Apple fixes the issue, the Air Display drivers will disable themselves on Lion on these specific machines.
Affected machines include:
- 13" MacBook (aluminum late 2008, early, mid, and late 2009)
- 13" MacBook Air (late 2008, mid 2009)
- 13" MacBook Pro (mid 2009)
- 15" MacBook Pro (late 2008, 2.53 GHz mid 2009, mid 2009)
- 17" MacBook Pro (early and mid 2009).
- 20" iMac (early or mid 2009)
- 24" iMac (early 2009)
- 21.5" iMac (late 2009)
- Mac mini (early or late 2009, Server late 2009)
- Mac mini Mac OS X Server (late 2009)
Apple is aware of the bug. We are hopeful that they will release a fix soon.

Free SMS for iPhones? Yes, and No.
Quoting Dan Moren from MacWorld.com, the goldmine that is Short Message Service [a tiny amount of bandwidth with a huge price tag] will be free from iPhone 5 users to other iPhone 5 users through Apple’s servers. Moreover, it will likely cause a shift within the industry.
"Once iMessage rolls out, users of many of Apple’s more than 200 million iOS devices will be able to exchange text, picture, and video messages with each other for free. And, best of all, it’s completely transparent to users; iOS can figure out whether it needs to send an SMS or an iMessage, depending on the intended recipient. Secure those iPad (iPhone, iTouch) Files:
With most new/cool/electronic devices, people like to gain hands-on experience ...for good or bad.
Locking the iPad (or iPhone, iTouch) with a passcode is a good first step, but what if someone wants to try the device out?
Using an app like “Goodreader” allows you to password protect your sensitive documents (Text, Photo, PDF, etc…) from prying eyes.

Having flash installed on your devices apparently does shorten battery life.
Steve Jobs' [CEO; Apple Inc.] company has been criticized for refusing to allow Adobe’s Flash software it be installed on it’s portable iOS devices (iPhone, iTouch, iPad), and the new OSX Macbook Air laptop computer [user installable].
The stated primary reasons were security and power consumption issues.
While the security issues are being addressed, the power problem is just beginning to come to light (of the end-users).
Steve Jobs may be a [highly?] regarded as an over-zealous pitchman, but he’s certainly no liar.
